Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics

Canada was blessed with the first Olympic gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics in 1984. Many young gymnasts across Canada were inspired by Lori Fung's success and each became champions in their own way.

Alberta has a long tradition of producing excellent competitive gymnasts over the years. Our gymnasts have proudly represented the province in competitions across Canada, and some even represented Canada at the World Championships!

Most gymnasts start young when their bodies are most flexible. However, starting young is not a necessity. Alberta uses the fully unified Canadian program that is both challenging and rewarding for gymnasts of any age and ability. Furthermore, RGA fully supports the FIG Special Olympics program for those with mental disabilities.
